A singer/songwriter and worship leader based in California,
Josh Baldwin is best known for his work with CCM collective
Bethel Music, which he joined in 2014. He has also released several solo albums including 2017's The War Is Over, though it was his popular 2018
Bethel Music single "Stand in Your Love" that earned him more widespread notice.
Prior to joining the
Bethel organizion,
Baldwin was based in North Carolina, where he led worship services at both Morningstar Ministries and Queen City Church. A multi-instrumentalist, he traveled extensively working as the drummer for worship artists
Rita Springer and
Suzy Yaraei while issuing his own debut album, Changing, in 2008. A second release, Rivers, arrived in 2014 before
Baldwin joined the
Bethel staff and relocated to their Redding, California church. Over the next few years, he was involved in several releases by
Bethel Music, and in 2017, he issued The War Is Over, his first solo effort with the church. The album earned
Baldwin some critical acclaim and found its way onto several different U.S. and U.K. charts. However, his breakout success came a year later with "Stand in Your Love," the lead single from
Bethel Music's Victory album, which
Baldwin wrote and sang. At number seven, it marked his first entry onto Billboard's Christian chart and was nominated for both GMA Dove and K-Love Awards. Another solo single, "Let the Redeemed," appeared in 2019. ~ Timothy Monger
