Julian & Roman Wasserfuhr

Julian & Roman Wasserfuhr

* En anglais uniquement

"The „Jazz-Brothers“ Julian & Roman Wasserfuhr have made an inseparable pair. Their (soul) kinship has been a benefit to their performance together. The degree of trust between the brothers has lent their music a relaxed and unforced character. After their highly regarded debut, Remember Chet, which they recorded as teenagers, they set out across the German jazz landscape. Soon they were playing together with greats like Nils Landgren, Lars Danielsson or Wolfgang Haffner and at the same time they were finding their way to their own, characteristic, melodic and atmospheric “Wasserfuhr sound.” Today, Julian & Roman Wasserfuhr are among the most renowned jazz musicians in Germany.

After their musical journey to Gothenburg in Sweden (2009) and the rousing New York session in urban Brooklyn (2017), the two brothers have now traveled to Ireland to record their sixth ACT album.

Relaxin' in Ireland is her very personal view of the green island in the Atlantic Ocean
But it’s also an album that tells the story of what the West Cork area did to the trio at the moment of musical creation. Another chapter of her impressive career.

Julian & Roman Wasserfuhr have received some prizes and distinctions. Among others, they have been distinguished with the Golden German Jazz Award from „Bundesverband der Musikindustrie“
