Coming on with a style that's both tough and swift, New Orleans rapper
Kidd Kidd was associated with two hip-hop empires --
Young Money and
G-Unit -- before he even had an official solo release. Born Curtis Steward,
Kidd Kidd was a New Orleans street performer until he was signed to the
Young Money label by
Lil Wayne. He joined
Gudda Gudda in the Southern-based
Young Money act Squad Up, but in 2004, the group was off the label, although
Kidd Kidd would rejoin
Young Money in 2008. In 2011, with no solo album released, he left
Young Money and joined
50 Cent's label
G-Unit. In 2014 he was featured on
50 Cent's album Animal Ambition and joined
Lloyd Banks,
Tony Yayo,
Young Buck, and
50 in
G-Unit the group. ~ David Jeffries
