Michael "Mikey" Foster and Charles "Scootie" Anderson teamed up to form the duo
Social House, delivering feel-good rhythmic pop for other artists before making their official debut with the 2018 single "Magic in the Hamptons."
The pair met in Pittsburgh and moved to Los Angeles, signing a joint venture with
Scooter Braun's SB Projects and Interscope Records. Along with frequent collaborator Tommy Brown,
Social House co-wrote tracks for
Ariana Grande,
Meghan Trainor, and
DJ Khaled. In 2018, the trio also contributed to
Jennifer Lopez's "Dinero" with
Khaled and
Cardi B. Later that summer,
Social House made their official debut with the single "Magic in the Hamptons," which featured guest
Lil Yachty. In August 2019, the duo issued their debut EP,
Everything Changed..., which included the single "Boyfriend" featuring
Ariana Grande. That track went on to receive a Grammy nomination for Pop Duo/Group Performance. ~ Neil Z. Yeung
