Young rapper Timal started putting out music in 2016, with a steady stream of songs culminating in the 2018 album 'Trop Chaud'.Timal was born Ruben Louis in Saint-Denis, France, in July 1997 before being raised in Champs-sur-Marne in Seine-et-Marne. He began recording and releasing hip-hop tracks in 2016 under the stage name Timal (which is drawn from his Caribbean heritage and refers to a member of the Dravidian people of southern India and Sri Lanka). His songs were posted to the YouTube channel Daymolition, which showcases young rappers, picking up millions of views.In 2017, Timal released the single 'Vatos', which went gold and in April of 2018 Timal released his first full-length album through Elektra France, 'Trop Chaud'. The album sold over 10,000 copies in its first week of sale before going gold in July.Since then he has had a continuous streak of single releases, including 'Flics & Stups', 'Overdose', 'Story' and 'La 11'.
