A wild and wildly eclectic quintet, Troka manages to mix the sounds of the Balkans and the rhythms of bluegrass to create a fast and upbeat fusion. Fueled by energy from members of the popular band JPP in the rhythm section, Troka has made a splash of its own. Their eponymous 1998 debut album captures well their feisty and humorous group sound; its follow-up, Smash, appeared in 1999.
